Heavy, road-roller stuff. Need a double martini to digest take them all in.

However, the one thing that I&#039;d like to touch upon is [... disappointment could be seen as a loss of opportunity that certainly could trigger the grieving process... ]

Disappointment can perhaps be better understood and dealt with if it is considered just what it is -- a feeling. And feelings are not facts.

The hunger that we feel in the stomach, the migraine that will not go away, are facts. They are defined well, and have a tangible structure. 

And feelings of love, victory and disappointment are just that - feelings. And on any given day, facts win over feelings -- &quot;am I more aware of my love for my brand new shoes, or am I more aware of its bite?&quot;

		<description>Thank you for your insight into the psyche. I have been very close to a binge eater and it is so painful to see him in his downswings. His problem stems mainly from depression.
