Book of Gratitude

For over three weeks, I have been having sharp pain in my right elbow and for the last two or three days it started traveling down in my hand as well as in shoulder and someone suggested it might be tennis elbow.. So I made an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon and he gave me a Cortisone shot combined with Novocain! yesterday! To my surprise, the pain has increased instead of diminishing, and this mornig it is excruciating! The arm is a bit swollen too – couldn't sleep all night.. Needless to say, I am typing with my left hand… so it is taking extraordinarily longer to write.

I have been surfing the net though, checked out MyBlogLog, Bumpzee, added some contacts, joined a few communities because these can be done with just one click, checked few blogs and wrote a few comments, but typing with one hand (and that too with left hand if you are right handed) is darn difficult. I'm telling you, if you have never had tennis elbow, you have no idea how painful it is. I am alternating heat and cold packs but so far, nothing seems to help! So, I think I will rest a bit this weekend and share with you all something that was forwarded to me the other day. It is an online journal going around the web called Book of Gratitude. If you feel up to writing something in it, please do and then pass it on to someone else.

And in the meantime, I would love to hear from you all on my blog. If you visit, please do say a hi and tell me what is your take on – say gratitude, taking things for granted (e.g., I never thought of typing with my left hand, but now I am doing exactly that), or tennis elbow, if you ever had it, you know someone who had it, how they treated it, if cortisone shots really work or not, or just say a hi and tell me how my blog looks to you :) And I sure will return the favor as soon as I get better.

Have a wonderful relaxing weekend
