5 Reasons why I blog

My very first meme comes from Kim the beautiful and talented artist from Australia who authors LakeTrees as well as PoeARTica

Well, my biggest reason could be summarized in just one sentence. I blog because of the immense satisfaction I get from interacting with so many bright and generous bloggers each and every day. But because for this meme, I need to list 5, here are the Five Reasons Why I Blog:

  • I find it helps to improve my own thoughts and opinions by asking hows and whys on different issues and getting involved in discussions via comments that are informative and thought provoking
  • Expressing my thoughts in writing is helping me improve my self expression because even though I have a lot of ideas and opinions about issues, until I start putting those in writing, they don’t have any particular shape and form
  • I love new experiences each day and each of these experiences brings me closer to my potential and pushes me to learn something new each day
  • Blogging has essentially dissolved borders allowing me to instantaneously access the viewpoint of people all over the world, which would never have been possible with any other activity
  • I find myself constantly trying to catch up with the blogging community on a daily basis because I want to be good at what I am doing and this has forced me to read a lot more than I would have done otherwise

And I would be lying if I didn’t mention I am curious to see if I can make a few bucks doing what I have come to love so much.

Since I am supposed to tag 5 more people with this meme.. I tag :

Tom of NetbusinessJournal

Joey of SqueezePlayCards

Chee Kui of Dirty Little Secrets

Glen Scott of C’ Weblog

and Jenny mcb of J’s Thoughts and Musings

Have fun guys :)

Very interesting reasons. I totally agree about being able to get involved in discussions with folks around the world. Also, it’s so great that, with a blog, you do have control over how your views are presented.

I also wanted to let you know about some of the cool things going on over at the US Blogs Community at Bumpzee. There is an RSS Feed which will give you snippets of every post in the community, both on blogs and in the community itself. Also, you can get a US Blogs button and a list of links to all the blogs in the community. As of now, we’re up to 40 blogs, and it would be awesome if we could get the number doubled by the end of the month. It might seem to be daunting, but we’ve gone from none to 40 in the space of three weeks, so it’s definitely possible. Be sure to tell all your blogging friends here in the States about it :)

I’m glad to be tagged, . . . As you can see I’m off-line most weekends, but I’ll see if I can’t find some reasons why I blog and tag some more friends. . .
