Interesting Observations

blogging, social media and self-improvement!

Who do you trust more?

Look!

Your

Doctor?

Pharmacist?

Hair Dresser

Attorney?

Maid?

Friend?

OR

Mother-In-Law?

(trusting “myself” is not a choice) ;)

Update:  If you came here earlier after seeing this post in your feed reader, I apologize… the format kept getting all messed up for some reason and I had to delete the post!   I’ve been writing posts from either Windows Live Writer or BlogDesk and am so not used to the dashboard of this new version!

Hmm – great question. For an unbiased opinion on something, I trust my hairdresser. She has nothing to gain or lose from anything she recommends to me so there’s my reasoning. However, I would not trust her for medical advice – that would just be silly. So I trust different people for different things. I don’t trust attorneys or maids much at all though.

I’d have to say my Mum and my GP…
love the new look Pearl…
this would have to be my favourite WP template :)

@teeni: I should have been clear about what I was thinking at the time… we do trust different people with different things but I was thinking more as in who in your opinion is more trustable (is that a word?).

e.g: Do you ever have doubts if your doctor prescribed you the correct medicine or he is out to push the new drugs that he received for free from a drug company he is in contract with… OR in the maid’s case, do you feel comfortable leaving the house keys with her/him while you are at work or on vacation? (or leaving the keys with your MIL in some cases ;))

I’d have to say Friend. Party because I don’t have most of the things/people on the list.

John Hoff - eVentureBiz

My mother-in-law. I can see no point in her causing any reason for me not to trust her, after all, I’m the father of her grandchildren.

I’m curious, why the question? ;)

What are those special ears listening for?

@Kim: this is a very nice template and I’ve Mig to thank for recommending and making it work for me :)

@John: Ah, those ears! Nothing special really – I came in contact with most of these people in just one week and it got interesting at one point.. so asked ;)

@Steven: I’ve had nothing but the best experience having great friends. So yes, they top the list anytime

I would have to say my friend. I have several friends in fact that I would trust more than any of those people. Of course I am a male so that is normal. For a lot of females I don’t know if you can trust your friends. Females and their friends seem to backstab each other a lot.

Oh, by the way, why wasn’t wife or husband included as an option. If it was I would have put that first.

Pearl,
Why not trust in yourself?
Of the above listed choices – one would think you’d trust your best friend.
Ditto Jesse’s last paragraph.
Take care.

Oh Im more likely to trust my family too, of course… I actually did include ‘spouse’ as one of the choices but took it off as it seemed to be the most likely picked option. I was thinking more of the community around us that we have to be so dependent upon!

@Jesse: that observation about females unfortunately is very true.. see here: You are invited.. BUT there are always exceptions – I’ve some excellent females as my friends – online and offline :)

I guess I hit that on the head and I agree it is unforunate.
